What Is Public Health

Through the concerted efforts of society, public health is the science and art of avoiding disease, extending life, and promoting health. A population’s health should be improved, and health issues should be avoided before they arise. It is a wide-ranging field that addresses a variety of subjects, including risk assessment, epidemiology, communicable disease prevention, air pollution, and health promotion. We’ll examine what public health is, how it differs from clinical care, who is in charge of it, and how it’s carried out.
