What Is Public Health
Through the concerted efforts of society, public health is the science and art of avoiding disease, extending life, and promoting health. A population’s health should be improved, and health issues should be avoided before they arise. It is a wide-ranging field that addresses a variety of subjects, including risk assessment, epidemiology, communicable disease prevention, air pollution, and health promotion.
